The Greek dilemma

Imagine that you have a brother that owes you a lot of money.

Imagine that he owes you so much money that in order to just repay the interest, not only can’t he afford to maintain much less repair the tools of his trade, he can’t afford to feed himself properly or go to the doctor. It wouldn’t be so bad if he was in good health, but he isn’t.

That’s the perception of the Greek government.

Now imagine that you are lending your brother more money all the time but he insists on spending it on ice.

That’s the perception of the EU.

Who is right?
