Mining and crafting into a big black hole

Minecraft and I am talking about the pocket edition and not even the full blown PC edition has been sucking up huge amounts of my time.

Most of the adults I talk to, and like most hopeless junkies I have no shame about yelling out my addiction to the world, say something along the lines of how their 5 year old kid loves Minecraft too. Yes, it appears that most grownups just don’t get it. The grinding millstone of existence has crushed their potential for joy and play.

It’s simple really: you get to build your dream worlds block by block and walk through them. And with a little bit of imagination, the low-res blockiness disappears and there you are: ACTUALLY INSIDE THE REALM OF WONDER AND MAGIC THAT IS YOUR INNER-MOST SELF,

But then, most grown-ups have no real self left: all they see is a collection of virtual blocks. Or far worse, would rather play a first-person shooter game of some sort.
